Is shopping through your site secure?

Yes. Although you start your shopping through links on the Bug in a Rug site, you will be shopping at the store's regular online shop and each of our stores use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your personal information.

Do I have to shop through links on Bug in a Rug for my charity to receive a donation?

Yes. In order for your charity to receive a donation for your purchase, you must begin your shopping through links on the Bug in a Rug site.

How much money does my charity receive from my purchase?

We donate fifty percent (50%) of all commissions to the charities selected by our users.

When will my charity receive the money from my purchase?

We must wait to pay your charity until we receive payment from our stores. We send checks to charities monthly, 30 days after we receive payment from our stores.

Is there a minimum donation the charity must receive before a check will be sent?

Yes. We send checks to charities once the charity has accumulated at least $25 in donations during a month. If a charity has less than $25 at the end of the month, the funds will carry over each month until $25 accrues to that charity.

Which charities may I support?

Any charity you choose, as long as the charity is located in the United States and is engaged in legal activities for public good. For example, the American Heart Association, a cancer research fund, your child's soccer team, a local animal shelter, a food bank or a fund set up to assist a local child in need of healthcare. We do not require that the charity be a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

May I support more than one charity?

Yes, you may support as many charities as you'd like. However, you may only support one charity per purchase.

How do I know you've sent the money to my charity?

We keep records of every check we send. If you'd like to see a copy, please send us a request by email with the name of the charity, and we'll email a copy to you.

What if I have a problem with my order?

All orders are handled exclusively by our stores. Therefore, if any problems arise with your order, please contact the customer service department of the applicable store for assistance.

Will I pay more for products when I shop through links at Bug in a Rug?

No. You will pay the same price for any purchase you make through our links as you would if you went to the store's site directly to shop.

Do I have to be a member to shop through your site?

No, you do not need to be a member to shop through our site. Anyone can shop, and it is always free.
